Nouakchott hosts a workshop to launch the Great Green Wall

The Minister of Environment, Mrs. Lalia Ali Camara, supervised this morning at the Nouakchott Hotel the opening of the workshop to launch the project to support the activation of the Green Wall initiative. Kabir in Eritrea, Mali, Niger, Sudan, Chad.
The opening ceremony took place in the presence of representatives of the Great Green Wall countries along with the Executive Secretary of the African Agency for the Great Green Wall, Dr. Ibrahim. Said and the Director General of the National Agency for the Fence Green Mr. Sidna Ould Ahamdali and senior advisers and officials in the Ministry of Environment.
In her opening speech of this workshop, the Minister stressed the increasing strategic importance of the Green Wall and its great role in reducing the devastating effects of extinction and climate change, assuring the participants that the outputs of this workshop and the proposals and recommendations resulting from it will be the subject of her attention and consideration, wishing them success and good standing in Mauritania.
